Brain Tumour Action launches video awareness campaign

1 min read

Our friends at Brain Tumour Action have launched a video campaign to raise awareness of the symptoms of this devastating disease.

In association with the family of Leighanne Easton, who passed away from a brain tumour aged 26, six short videos have been created to raise awareness of the signs of brain tumours in young adults, the fourth most common cancer in that age group. The videos honour Leighanne’s wishes that by creating greater awareness, delays in diagnosis and time to treatment could be reduced.

Five of the videos explain how patients felt before they received their diagnosis. The sixth video is a short rap, which lists some of the many symptoms that might indicate someone has a brain tumour. The charity hopes that it will be played, re-played, liked and shared using #BangOnTheDoor.

Brain Tumour Action provides support education, training and research for brain tumour patients, families and professionals throughout the UK. The charity runs a Helpline which is open 24 hours a day and is manned by a trained counsellor.
