A sports car team is proudly displaying the Brain Tumour Research logo as it competes for silverware this season.
Driver Iain Campbell will be racing with the Brain Tumour Research logo featuring prominently on the bonnet and rear-wing end plates of his 2023 racing cars, which will be entering into the Silver-AM category of the British GT Championship and European McLaren Trophy series.
Iain, a close friend of the Treharne family, wanted to support the charity and raise awareness after Ethan Treharne sadly died aged 17, two years after being diagnosed with a glioblastoma (GBM).
The first round of the British GT Championship (Friday 7th to Sunday 9th April) saw Iain, and his teammate James Kells, win both races in the Silver-AM category at Oulton Park.
Iain said: “Ethan was a great friend of my son Lewis, and when he died just two years after diagnosis, we were all devastated. I wanted to do something to raise awareness of this awful disease and support Brain Tumour Research, so I am pleased to be able to race with the logo on my cars in Ethan’s memory. Hopefully, it will help reach more people and create further awareness of how hugely underfunded research into brain tumours is.”
Iain will next take to the track at Silverstone on the weekend of the King’s Coronation (Friday 5th to Sunday 7th May).
